Voice of Carers Initiative

Carers Scotland, the Association of Directors of Social Work and the Equal Opportunities Commission have established a partnership to take forward an initiative to:

  • increase the equality of opportunities for carers
  • to empower carers
  • to enable carers to be equal and expert partners in the provision of care.

The aim of the joint initiative is to raise awareness of the rights and needs of carers and the invaluable contribution that carers make to our communities and service providers.

Download details of this exciting initiative below.

Learning for Living

Learning for Living is another element of the Voice of Carers initiatve and is a unique programme of learning for unpaid carers.  A  pilot programme is currently underway in Scotland in partnership with City & Guilds.  For more information, click here
