LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to:

  • Gain awareness of the physical, emotional and social stresses of caring
  • Establish a base for developing effective working relationships with carers.
  • Recognise the importance of carer input to effective service delivery.
  • Have an understanding of how recent legislation, national and local strategies will shape future support and services for carers.
  • Reflect on the value of assessments and the reasons for encouraging Carers and agencies to increase the number of assessments being completed.
