Carers UK can provide interpreters through CarersLine. CarersLine provide free and confidential advice on a range of caring issues. Our freephone number is 0808 808 7777 and we are open on Wednesday and Thursday 10am -12pm and 2pm - 4pm.  Our advisers can also be contacted through typetalk.

The following links have information published in other languages which will be useful to some carers.  We will continue to update this section of the site.  Please let us know if you find any websites with information in other languages which would be helpful.


Carers UK

Carers UK's leaflet Balancing Life and Caring explains the basics of carers' rights around work, leisure and learning opportunities. It also explains what a carers assessment can do and lists a series of useful contacts. 

The leaflet is available on this website as a PDF download in the following languages:

Punjabi, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Urdu and Gujarati.

Department for Work and Pensions

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has translations of some of its most commonly requested leaflets into:

Welsh ; Arabic ; Bengali; Chinese ; Gujarati  ; Punjabi ; Somali ; Urdu ; and Vietnamese

Printed or audio copies of any DWP leaflets in these laungauges are available from local DWP offices.


The Pension Service

The Pension Service has information in:

Citizen’s Advice

 

 ‘AdviceGuide’ is available in English and Welsh. It contains information on benefits, employment and housing; and help on debt, credit and legal issues.

The ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ in each topic section are also available in five ethnic community languages (Chinese, Bengali, Gujerati, Punjabi, and Urdu).
